How to submit an application in the application portal

Read here how to easily create an application for admission to a master’s degree programme, or for re-enrolment, or change of programme in the application portal.

Log in to the application portal

  1. Find the link to the application portal on the relevant programme website.
  2. If you have a login for a Danish university, you can click on the button labelled "Login" on the welcome page and choose your university from the list given to log in.
  3. If you do not have a login from a Danish university, you need to create a new user profile

Create your application

  1. Click on the tab "Create application". Choose "University of Copenhagen" as institution and "Master" as type.
  2. You can do a targeted search by typing a keyword into the "Degree/course name" field, then click "Search".
  3. Choose the programme to which you wish to apply, and check the checkbox for it. If necessary, choose a secondary subject. Then click "Proceed to create the application".
  4. Click "Proceed to create the application" again on the next page.
    Note: If you used a direct link from a programme website, the relevant programme will be pre-selected for you in steps 1-3 above.

Collect your data from a Danish university database

  1. If you have a degree from a Danish university, you can choose to import that data to the application if available.

Complete the rest of the application and submit it

  1. Continue by clicking the “Next” button, or click directly on each individual step.
  2. At the “Personal details” step, enter your phone number.
  3. At the “Applied programme/course” step, upload a statement of motivation if this field appears in your application.
  4. At the “Requirements and prerequisites” step, upload documentation of your bachelor’s degree, i.e. your diploma or transcript. There are separate fields for ongoing and completed programmes, and you only need to upload documents in one of the fields.
  5. At the “Requirements and prerequisites” step, also upload any additional documentation if this is relevant to your programme.
  6. Finally, at the “Requirements and prerequisites” step, indicate whether your degree is from a Danish institution. If Yes, proceed to the next page. If No, upload the relevant documents requested.
  7. At the “Other information” step, answer the question about credit transfer and upload documentation if required. Read more about credit transfer.
  8. Click “Next” until you reach the “Send application” step.
  9. Click the “Submit application” button. Your application is only submitted once you have done this.Read more about how to track the status of your application, upload documentation, and accept your offer of admission.
