Most important application deadlines

Important deadlines vary depending on whether you are applying from Denmark, another EU/EEA country, or Switzerland, or if you are applying from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland.

Below, you can find the different application deadlines for starting in September and February.

Please note that you must accept or decline your offered study place within the deadline stated in your admission offer.

Applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland

There are two application deadlines for applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

Study start in September

15 January at 23:59

The application portal opens on 15 November. You will receive a reply by 13 March.

All programmes have study start in September

Study start in February  (legal right of admission only)

15 October at 23:59

The application portal opens on 15 August. You will receive a reply by 10 December.

All programmes have study start in September

The list of master’s degree programmes with study start in February 2027 will be available no later than 1 July 2026.

Applicants from within the EU, EEA and Switzerland

There are two application deadlines for Danish applicants and applicants from within the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

Study start in September

1 March at 23:59

The application portal opens on 16 January. You will receive a reply by 15 May.

All programmes have study start in September

Study start in February  (legal right of admission only)

15 October at 23:59

The application portal opens on 15 August. You will receive a reply by 10 December.

All programmes have study start in September

The list of master’s degree programmes with study start in February 2027 will be available no later than 1 July 2026.

Application Deadlines for Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland

16 January

The application portal opens to applicants from Denmark and other EU countries as well as from the EEA and Switzerland (study start in September).

1 March at 23:59

Application deadline for applicants from Denmark and other EU countries as well as from the EEA and Switzerland (study start in September).

REMEMBER to upload documentation BEFORE the deadline.

15 May

We send out decisions regarding applications. You will be notified of the admission decision for the September intake on this date. 

You can find the result in the application portal, where you also need to accept or decline your study place.

20 May

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in September, if you do not hold legal claim of admission (retskrav).

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

15 June

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in September, if you hold legal claim of admission (retskrav).

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

Early September

You will start in early September if you have been admitted and have accepted your place within the given deadline.

15 October at 23:59

Application deadline for applicants from Denmark and other EU countries as well as from the EEA and Switzerland (study start in February).

REMEMBER to upload documentation BEFORE the deadline.

10 December

We continuously send decisions regarding applications. You will be notified of the admission decision for the February intake by this date. 

You can find the result in the application portal, where you also need to accept or decline your study place.

15 December

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in February, if you have legal right of admission. Please note other applicants have a shorter deadline.

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

Early February (the following year)

You will start in early February if you have been admitted and have accepted your  place within the given deadline.

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in September.

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

1 September at 23:59

Application deadline for applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland (study start in February).

Early September

You will start in early September if you have been admitted and have accepted your student place within the given deadline.

1 December

We continuously send decisions regarding applications. You will be notified of the admission decision for the February intake by this date. 

You can find the result in the application portal, where you also need to accept or decline your study place.

5 December

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in February, if you have legal right of admission. Please note other applicants have a shorter deadline.

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

Early February (the following year)

You will start in early February if you have been admitted and have accepted your student place within the given deadline.
