Most important application deadlines

Important deadlines vary depending on whether you are applying from Denmark, another EU/EEA country, or Switzerland, or if you are applying from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland.

Below, you can find the different application deadlines for starting in September and February.

Please note that you must accept or decline your offered study place within the deadline stated in your admission offer.

Applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland

There are two application deadlines for applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

Study start in September

15 January at 23:59

The application portal opens on 15 November. You will receive a reply by 1 May.

All programmes have study start in September

Study start in February

1 September at 23:59

The application portal opens on 1 July. You will receive a reply by 1 December.

Please note: The application deadline for most Danish-taught Master's programmes follows the deadlines for applicants from the EU, EEA and Switzerland. For details, please refer to the individual programme pages.

Applicants from within the EU, EEA and Switzerland

There are two application deadlines for Danish applicants and applicants from within the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

Study start in September

1 March at 23:59

The application portal opens on 16 January. You will receive a reply by 10 June.

All programmes have study start in September

Study start in February

15 October at 23:59

The application portal opens on 15 August. You will receive a reply by 10 December.

Application Deadlines for Citizens from Outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland

Get an overview of other important dates for citizens from outside the EU, EEA countries, and Switzerland.

15 November

The application portal opens to applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland (study start in September).

15 January at 23:59

Application deadline for applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland (study start in September). 

REMEMBER to upload documentation BEFORE the deadline.

1 May

We continuously send decisions regarding applications. You will be notified of the admission decision for the September intake by this date. 

You can find the result in the application portal, where you also need to accept or decline your study place.

5 May

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in September, if you have legal right of admission. Please note other applicants have a shorter deadline.

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

1 September

Application deadline for applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland (study start in February). 

REMEMBER to upload documentation BEFORE the deadline.

Early September

You will start in early September if you have been admitted and have accepted your student place within the given deadline.

1 December

We continuously send decisions regarding applications. You will be notified of the admission decision for the February intake by this date. 

You can find the result in the application portal, where you also need to accept or decline your study place.

5 December

Deadline for accepting your study place with study start in February, if you have legal right of admission. Please note other applicants have a shorter deadline.

If you do not accept your study place through the application portal by the deadline, you will not be admitted.

Early February (the following year)

You will start in early February if you have been admitted and have accepted your student place within the given deadline.
