Step by step: Join Open House Online

How to take part in the online Open House for UCPH's master’s degree programmes via Microsoft Teams.

How to join UCPH’s Master’s Online Open House

We use Microsoft Teams as for the Master’s Online Open House. You can join the online Master’s Open House without a UCPH or Microsoft account.

For the best experience, we recommend that you use a computer with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. You do not need to install Microsoft Teams when joining through a supported desktop browser.

If you join from a phone or tablet, you may need to install the Microsoft Teams app because Teams most likely will not run in the handheld device’s browser. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you join from a computer if you do not have a Teams account.

  1. Open the meeting link
Find the presentation you would like to attend in the programme and open the Teams link for the relevant time slot by clicking ‘Click to join online’.
We recommend joining 5–10 minutes before the presentation begins.
  2. Join in your browser
When Microsoft Teams opens in your browser:

    - Select “Continue on this browser.”
    - Enter your name. It will be visible to the other participants and presenters during the session.
    - “Select Join now.”

If you cannot see the browser option, try to copy the link ‘Click here to join online’ from the presentation you wish to join by right clicking the link and choosing ‘Copy link address’. Open the link in an Incognito window in Chrome or an InPrivate window in Edge.
  3. Choose your programme
Once you have joined the Teams meeting:

    - Open the list of breakout rooms.
    - Find the room named after your chosen study programme presentation.
    - Select “Join room.”

If the rooms are not visible yet, please remain in the main meeting. They will open shortly before the presentations begin.
  4. During the presentation
Your microphone will be muted when you enter the presentations. You can ask questions in the chat during the whole presentation. The presenter will be able to allow you to use your microphone upon request. The presenter will explain how you can ask questions during the session.
