Everything you need to know before Online Open House

Check the programme and find the Master’s programmes you would like to learn more about. Make a note of the presentation times. Please note that all times are in Central European Time (CET / GMT+1).

We recommend reading about the programmes in advance. This will help you use the presentations to learn more about the academic content, teaching methods, student life and career opportunities.

The Online Open House takes place on Zoom. To join a presentation, find the relevant Master’s programme in the programme overview. Then select the Zoom link shown next to the presentation time you would like to attend.

Make sure that the sound on your device is working. Your camera and microphone will be switched off by default.

You can submit written questions using Zoom’s chat or Q&A function. The presenters will answer as many questions as possible during or after the presentation.

If you have not used Zoom Webinar before, read our step-by-step guide before joining.

Please note that the presentations will not be recorded.

When should I join the Zoom room?

Join the Zoom room approximately five minutes before the presentation begins.

Several programme presentations take place in the same Zoom room, one after another. If you join earlier, another presentation may still be in progress. This does not mean that you have selected the wrong link. You are simply a little early.

If you plan to attend more than one presentation, leave the Zoom room when the presentation ends. Then return to the programme overview, find the next Master’s programme and use the link shown next to the relevant presentation time.

There is a scheduled break of 10–15 minutes between presentations, giving you time to find and join the next one.

If you cannot hear anything, check the volume on your device and your audio settings in Zoom.

If you lose your connection, use the same link to join again. You can also find help in our step-by-step guide to Zoom.

Several programme presentations take place in the same Zoom room, one after another. If another presentation is in progress when you join, you have probably arrived a little early. Check the presentation time in the programme overview. If you are in the correct Zoom room simply wait for your presentation to begin.

If you have joined the wrong Zoom room, return to the programme overview and select the link shown next to your presentation.
