Documentation: Employment requirements

Documentation of employment
When applying for a part-time master’s programme, you must be able to document that you meet the employment requirements.
It is mandatory to use our forms when submitting your documentation.
Read more about the specific admission and employment requirements on the individual programme page.
Documentation of employment in a private or public organisation
You must complete this form if you are applying for admission to the part-time master’s programme as an employee with relevant work experience in a private or public organisation.
Download the form for documenting relevant employment
We must receive your documentation no later than 1 August. If you cannot document that you meet the employment requirement by the start of the programme, you cannot be admitted.
Guidelines for completing the appendix
You must complete this appendix if you are applying for admission to the part-time master’s programme as an employee with relevant employment in a private or public company.
The appendix must be completed jointly by you and your employer and signed by both parties. You must be able to document relevant employment at the time of application, although the employment may begin at the start of studies.
If you cannot document - before the application deadline - that you meet the employment requirement by 1 August, you cannot be admitted to the programme.
Your annual working hours must correspond to at least 25 hours per week. This is to ensure that, while studying, you are an integrated part of the workplace on par with other full-time employees.
You must describe your work tasks so that the faculty can assess whether the content of the tasks is relevant to the part-time master’s programme. If necessary, you may submit this description separately after the application deadline, but it must reach us before the start of your studies.
You must describe the connection between the programme and your employment – i.e., how you and your employer will organize the work so that you are able to follow the programme and complete it within 4 years.
You must also document that you and your employer are familiar with the purpose and conditions of participating in a part-time master’s programme, as well as the expected working hours of employment.
Please note that the faculty will obtain documentation at least twice a year to verify that the information you have provided is correct.
Together with your employer, you must complete the following:
- Information and contact details for you and your employer
- Average weekly working hours (annual norm)
- Description of your work tasks throughout the course of the programme
- Description of the connection between the programme and your employment
- Signature confirming that you and the company are familiar with the purpose and conditions for admission to and participation in a part-time master’s programme, the accuracy of the information provided, and that an employment contract exists between the parties.
