We review your appeal
Once we have received and registered your appeal, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt.
We will then review our handling of your case and the grounds of your appeal.
You have the right to appeal our decisions if your application for admission is rejected, or if your application for an exemption is wholly or partially refused.
If you believe that a misunderstanding has occurred or that an error has been made, it is always a good idea to contact us directly as soon as possible at admissions@ku.dk. We can then look into the matter before you submit a formal appeal.
You must submit your appeal to admissions@ku.dk.
You may appeal on points of law. This means whether we have processed your case in accordance with the Danish Public Administration Act and the applicable regulations governing higher education.
You may not appeal against academic assessments or the exercise of our discretion. This means that you cannot have reviewed whether the decision is appropriate or reasonable.
The deadline for submitting an appeal is two weeks from the date on which you receive the decision.

Once we have received and registered your appeal, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt.
We will then review our handling of your case and the grounds of your appeal.
We will respond to your appeal with a statement, which you will have the opportunity to comment on.
You will be given at least one week to send us your comments.
We will process your appeal as quickly as possible, but during certain periods our case-processing time may be up to 14 weeks.
Once we have completed our processing of your appeal, we will forward the appeal to the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, which is the final appeals authority.
Once your appeal has been registered, you will receive an acknowledgement letter from the Agency. Among other things, this letter will inform you of the Agency’s expected case-processing time.
The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science is responsible for making the final decision in the case.
You can read more about the Agency’s handling of appeals in the appeal guidance available on the Agency’s website (in Danish only).
If you are appealing a rejection of admission to a Master's degree programme and, in your comments, draw attention to circumstances that you believe we have overlooked in our assessment of your application for admission, we will investigate these matters further.
This may mean that you receive a new statement, on which you will have the opportunity to provide comments before we can complete our processing of your appeal.
