Collaboration

Is your company, organisation or public authority interested in collaborating with leading researchers and students? Do you wish to design and develop products, or do you need expert input from skilled researchers?

Cooperation with the external environment is important for the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, as it increases the quality of both research and education.

The overall aim is that the department’s knowledge will contribute to managing the societal challenges within our fields of research.

The collaboration can be established in different ways ranging from informal knowledge exchange to counselling, public sector consultancy and joint research projects.

Public-sector services

At PLEN, we provide research based consultancy in areas such as plants, agriculture, environment, chemistry, water and biotechnology. From molecules and organisms to ecosystems.

How can you collaborate with students?

Our students often undertake projects or work placements as part of their degree programmes. In these, they collaborate with a company, public authority or organisation and help to solve specific practical challenges.

Students can offer general academic support and bring specific skills from their respective degree programmes. The University of Copenhagen’s portal for student jobs also enables the promotion of student jobs and positions for graduates.Read more about education at PLEN

Facilities

We offer our partners access to our facilities, which include, amongst other things, technology platforms in the fields of bioimaging and analytical chemistry, as well as a gene bank of fruit trees and shrubs, trial fields, climate chambers and greenhouses equipped with systems and equipment such as the fully automated PhenoLab robot.

For example, a company might wish to rent space, or our experienced specialists could carry out experiments and analyses on behalf of interested parties.

Commissioned research

Commissioned research typically takes the form of a specific project, a small-scale research project or a particular analytical task, such as a specific statistical analysis.

These tasks can be carried out by entering into an agreement with the university or by contacting the individual researcher.Find a researcher at PLEN
