University of Copenhagen in top 100

In the 2009 THE/QS ranking of top universities, the University of Copenhagen once again receives a fine placement; this year as no 51 worldwide. A slight step back from last years no 48, the University maintains a strong position among the world's finest:

"We will continue our focus on cutting-edge basic research and high-quality international education in order to keep our position", says Rector of the University Ralf Hemmingsen.

The University of Copenhagen is ranked as the best university in Scandinavia. Besides the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University (Denmark), Lund University (Sweden) and Uppsala University (Sweden) are in the top 100.
